What’s the 511

511 N Broad · Philadelphia

Access

Fobs, the front-door callbox, cameras on the street, and elevators we all share. Moving in or out — freight key, Nectarine loading — is on Moving.

A resident opening the glass front door, walking down the lobby hall, and waiting at the elevators beneath the 511 Condominium Residences sign.

Fobs and the front door

  • Keyless fobs open the building and allow use of the elevator.
  • The 2N callbox at the front door lets guests call a unit, use the camera, and get buzzed in.
  • Building management needs current contact information for everyone living in the unit. That list is the resident census form; if it is missing, access will not be granted. Owners should include renters on that form.

Guests and deliveries

  1. They find your unit on the 2N callbox and press call.
  2. You see them in the 2N app and press Unlock.
  3. They open the door and come in. Residents don’t hold the door for strangers.
  1. Ask them to use the Broad Street door and the 2N callbox — not to wait for a stranger to hold it open.
  2. They look up your unit, call, and you see the camera before you buzz.
  3. Food delivery and Amazon work the same way. Meet them in the lobby if the callbox is confusing for a driver.
  4. Contractors: owners verify insurance and arrange access. Renters work through the landlord. Don’t share a fob you can’t get back. Construction in the unit: Owning your unit.

Lost fob or lockout

  • A roommate or neighbor with a fob is fastest. Don’t prop the street door.
  • Owners: replacement fobs through the Resident portal. Renters: landlord first.
  • The emergency line is for emergencies only. More on Emergencies.

Street cameras and live agents

  • AI-enabled cameras outside the building watch for suspicious activity. A live agent and speaker can respond.
  • At the front door, emergency personnel can reach a live agent through the 2N callbox.

Elevators

  • Please don’t force or hold elevator doors. That damages the sensors and takes a car out of service for the whole building. Repairing the elevator increases maintenance costs charged to all owners.
  • Furniture, appliances, or a moving truck: book the Independent Service / freight key — Moving.

Parking

511 doesn’t have a resident garage. Cars on the street follow city / Philadelphia Parking Authority rules — meters, towing, and (on some nearby blocks) residential permits. Check the signs on the curb you’re using; they change. There are parking lots available nearby, some with monthly passes.
